Parent and supporter conduct
No player deserves to be embarrassed by the inappropriate conduct of a supporter or parent. If you have concerns about the decisions or operations of the Club, a coach, team manager or anyone else associated with the Club don't stay quiet - please make your concerns known via the appropriate channels.
Who can I speak to?
Depending on your concern your first point of contact should be your Team Manager or the Technical Directors Shaban Mehmet and Tommy Giuliani. If you are still unhappy with the outcome or decision you can take your concern to the Vice-President Paul Uniacke. In all cases we promise confidentiality and welcome the opportunity to address issues early.
When?
Training nights and game days are not ideal but they do provide an opportunity for you to flag you have a concern and to schedule a more appropriate time to follow up the matter in person or over the phone.
What is appropriate?
Each year the FFV reviews and updates its rules of the game for the coming NPL season. The FFV's 2018 Rules of competition were released last week along with NPL Under 12 competitions handbook. It details the conduct expected from from players, officials, coaches, parents and supporters and its enforceable.
Give yourself the best chance to perform at your best. Sleep - at least 8 hours the night before your game (and that doesn't include travel time to the game).
Hydrate - no point guzzling once you get to the ground! If you are well hydrated, then an hour before your game (so around the time you need to be at the ground) you should be looking for the toilets not the canteen. Start the night before and keep it simple - water is just fine.
Eat - Eat a good carbohydrate based meal 2-3 hours before you play and follow it up with a lighter snack (eg bananas) at least an hour before kickoff. Save the chips and hot dogs for after the game.
Arrive on time - all players are expected to be at the ground ready for warm up an hour before their game kick off. If you are running late call your Team Manager to explain.
Relax - you have done the training and the preparation - enjoy the game!
